Jack McGrath has been a passionate animator since the age of twelve. He directed several short animated films during his time at Sydney College of the Arts, and in 2007 he studied in the Film Animation and Video department at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in the United States. He graduated in 2011 with the Master of Fine Arts.

Jack’s foundation in Fine Arts led to a unique experimental style of animation, in which he regularly collaborates with artists in other disciplines: forming new perspectives and aesthetics in animation. Jack's films and installations are exhibited nationally and internationally at film festivals, art shows and conferences.

In conjunction with his art practice, Jack is the founder and Director of a successful media company that produces professional animation and live action video for a range of clients in the education and not-for-profit sectors.
